The Waikato District Council has launched an initiative called 'Open Waikato' on its newly launched website, there is a wealth of information including Fact-sheets on each town. Well worth a look.

http://www.teara.govt.nz/en Give a little is a New Zealand based fundraising site for individuals and community groups to set up pages for fundraising. The museum has a page that you can get to from the 'Supporting Us' page.

The Local and Regional network is run by Go Buses, the Number 21 Northern Connector is bus to look out for. The Busit! site has all the information you should need. Go to it Here. The National network is run by Intercity Buses. To find their website go Here. One of Huntly's quirks includes not having a dedicated Bus Stop in town. The Intercity website states that the bus will stop outside and opposite to the Essex Arms Hotel. The Go Bus will also stop here. Papers Past is an online database of Early New Zealand Papers. Run by the National Library of New Zealand and the New Zealand Government is has a very deep backlog that you can search through.

ehive.com is a brilliant Online Collection Management system. Museum's can put online resources that they have in their personal collections onsite.
The Waikato Coalfields Museum has one that can be found here You can also search the entire site for anything you want, but if you search 'Coal Mining Huntly New Zealand' you will find a great collection of photographs. Volunteers are vital to the running of the museum. They perform various jobs, ones that range from roles that are specific to Museums, to Gardening and taking visitors on a tour around the museum.
